This policy explains what information is collected when you visit akashpriyadarshi.is-a.dev (the “Site”), how it is used, and what choices you have. The Site is a personal portfolio operated by Akash Priyadarshi.
Server & infrastructure logs. Vercel (the hosting provider) automatically records standard HTTP request logs including IP address, browser user-agent, referring URL, timestamp, and the requested path. These logs are retained by Vercel according to their own data retention policy and are used solely for uptime monitoring and abuse prevention. The site owner does not have direct access to raw IP-level logs.
Cookieless analytics. This Site uses Vercel Analytics, which measures page views without cookies, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking. No Google Analytics, Mixpanel, or Plausible. No tracking pixels or session recording tools are loaded on any page.
No cookies set by this site. The only browser storage used is localStorage: your chosen colour theme, plus a one-hour cache of public GitHub star counts (see below). No cookies are written. No cross-site tracking occurs.
Live GitHub star counts. Project and essay star badges refresh in your browser with a single hourly request to api.github.com (public repository data only, no authentication, no cookies). The result is cached in localStorage for one hour to stay far under GitHub’s rate limits. If the request fails, the last published counts are shown. GitHub may log request metadata per their privacy statement.
Contact form / email. If you email ydv.akash2006@gmail.com directly, that email is handled by Google’s Gmail service under Google’s privacy policy. No contact form data is stored by this Site.
Vercel. The Site is deployed on Vercel’s Edge Network. Vercel may log request metadata as described above. See Vercel’s Privacy Policy.
Self-hosted images. Avatars, OG cards, and artwork are served from this domain. The contribution graph on the About page is fetched from GitHub at build time and inlined into the page; only if that build-time fetch fails does your browser load it from GitHub’s CDN directly. See GitHub’s Privacy Statement.
Google Fonts. Typography is loaded from Google Fonts at build time and served as part of the static bundle. No real-time requests to Google Fonts are made from your browser.
Infrastructure logs are used exclusively by Vercel for service operation and security. The site owner does not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties. There is no newsletter, mailing list, or marketing pipeline connected to this Site.
The Site itself stores no personal data. Vercel’s data retention for infrastructure logs follows their published policy. Theme preferences stored in your browser’s localStorage remain on your device and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings.
Because this Site collects no personal data directly, there is no personal data held by the site operator to access, rectify, or delete. For data held by Vercel or GitHub as infrastructure providers, please contact those services directly.
